To b ring your business to the next level in today’s business atmosphere, it’s crucial that you learn how to take full advantage of social media sites like Facebook. These sites are much more than ways to connect with your college roommate or your 5th grade teacher. They are, in fact, a very valuable promotional tool if you know how to use them. Facebook fans are very loyal; use that to your company’s advantage.
If you don’t give Facebook marketing a fair shake, you’re missing out. And it’s really not that hard. All you essentially need to keep in mind is that the better you become at promoting your business on Facebook, the more successful your business will be.
To get more Facebook fans to join your page (which is a crucial step in the process) you may want to offer them some kind of discount or coupon or prize for joining. It’s human nature to feel good about getting something extra for nothing, so why not capitalize on that fact to make money for your business?
Never forget that the goal of using Facebook as a marketing tool is to make money, but to do that you’ll need to ensure you are creating a solid marketing plan that is based on what your fans say they need and want, what they like and dislike. Pay close attention to the feedback you get from your fans; that’s your most valuable source of the information that will help you create a strong marketing plan.
But before you rush off in search of fans, any fans, there’s something else you need to know. It’s important to narrow your search to include only those fans that have something in common with your business. Put another way, target those fans that will be likely to buy your product. How do you do that? Think about what kind of people will be likely to buy what you are selling. Is it important that they be based in the same geographical area as you? Or is your target customer of a certain age? Do they work in a certain industry? Taking the time to outline those criteria up front is a great way to ensure you don’t waste time and resource later on trying to sell your product to people with no interest in buying them.
Here’s the good news, though: Facebook offers a variety of tools that will help you promote your page. These include the ability to send messages, post videos and publish links. The more you learn about how these tools can work for you the better connected you’ll be with your fans and the more interested they’ll stay in your company. If you can manage that, you’ll soon see your business flourishing in a way you never thought possible.
One of the most effective ways to encourage followers to join your Facebook page is to enlist the help of a site like uSocial.net. They have the services that will help you promote your business with ease. Learn all about Facebook marketing right from the source.

For today’s internet marketing advertising business owners there is a growing complexity as to what are the best ways to advertise their goods and services. With all the many marketing options out there today it can become rather confusing when it comes to selecting the top on and offline marketing systems.
Also it seems to be much more difficult to make a comfortable income these days, with the drastic changes to our economy these last few years. I’m sure the small business internet marketing community can attest to this.
My main goal today is to help small business owners with their offline and online web marketing strategies. Hopefully this will instill confidence, thus allowing the business owner to move forward with a solid plan that can be implemented easily and effectively. And also I would like to show them a way to generate an additional revenue stream, further solidifying the financial stability of their business.
Now I would like to assess some of the most common marketing systems used and why they aren’t the most effective or easy to use.
1. Pay-Per-Click: Also known as ppc marketing. This is where the web marketing firm places ads on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. and they pay a pre-determined amount for each visitor that clicks on their ad. This can be a good way to reach targeted prospects for your goods or service. It can also be very complex and frustrating as the search engines, especially Google, change their algorithms quite frequently. For example, back in December 2009, Google banned over 100,000 advertisers from their network. Many of these were long-time web marketing businesses that have advertised for many years.
2. Marketing to a targeted group of those that know you fairly well. This is also called Web 2.0 internet marketing advertising. You can develop a large list of followers, but patience must be used when marketing this way. You can set up free accounts at Squidoo, Hub Pages, Facebook, MySpace, etc. These types of advertising strategies can be effective if many months are spent growing these accounts. Once you do have a substantial amount of followers, it is very essential you don’t spam these people. If you do you’ll come off as being a selfish spammer. This form of advertising is best for those with very little money and an abundance of time. And it’s common for trends to fade out just as quickly as they were started. Because of that, this can become a feast or famine type of internet business advertising.
3. You can place ads on classified sites like Craigslist, Backpage, Kijiji, etc. The hard part is spending hours each day placing these ads. It seems as if everyone else on these sites are doing the exact same thing: trying to sell something and having no interest in buying anything from your internet business.
4. Offline Advertising Methods: You place your ads that are usually not targeted very well in Magazines, on TV, in Newspapers, on Billboards, etc. Your ad is typically shown to a wide demographic at a rather ad cost. This can work if you offer a good or service that’s needed by a large percentage of society. However, if you need to zero in on a target market your ad will usually have a low conversion rate. These types of ad placements can also be very expensive and take a long time to produce substantial results.
Now that we have discussed some common online internet marketing advertising methods, I would like to take a quick look at some little-used, yet extremely effective methods for Internet businesses:
1. Broadcasting with a Fax: You can send out fax broadcasts to many targeted prospects for very little expense. The fax can produce rapid results.
2. Send postcards: You probably don’t realize this. But with the internet’s popularity, there are less advertisements sent in the mail, thus lowering competition. This is a great way to reach customers that are great prospects for whatever it is that you sell. The affordability of postcards is also a real bonus. Not only that, but people just love getting their hands on something that’s real.
3. Email Marketing: Due to the 2003 Can Spam Act this marketing method has lost some of it’s sizzle in recent years. Especially for those that don’t know how to do correctly. You see, if you broadcast your message to a large, annonymous audience you most likely will end up with little if any results. However, if you send out a smaller broadcast to a list of people that have requested information on whatever it is you’re selling. You will be astounded at the high level of response.

Because of the role that the internet plays in our life, it’s not just where people from distant places can meet up, it’s also a marketplace.
However, for you to be prosperous in your online business, you have to generate traffic for your site. What I mean by this is that you must get people to frequent your website.
What most people do to get traffic is to put sensible and informative content in their websites. This is generally because internet surfers usually go to websites that allows them to retrieve information about whatever it is they are looking for.
The only problem with this is the part where you have to write the articles.
First thing you have to do when writing articles yourself is to do research so that your article contains reliable information. Research can be very tedious and time consuming.
And then there’s the actual writing. We all know that not a lot of people can do this.
One option that most internet marketers take is to purchase a software that writes articles automatically. But there’s a catch. Most of these programs do not produce articles fit to be read by humans.
What you find in these articles are usually just keywords strung together producing grammatically incorrect articles.
But if you search for these programs, you’ll find that there are actually some that do work like instant article wizard.
You only need to type in the keywords and then the program will automatically do a search for all the texts related to your topic. From this, you will be able to write an article from start to end.
Article writing can generate continual traffic through the years which is why most internet marketers turn to it. One thing they do with these articles is to submit them in article directories or include them as content for blogs.
